Jerry Taylor, City Manager for the City of Tuttle OK, is an idiot. When the ISP that hosts the city’s website had a server problem, instead of contacting his IT department or ISP, he sent off threatening emails to CentOS, the organization that provided the free operating system that was installed on the city’s web server by the city’s ISP. Johnny Hughes (the lead developer of CentOS) patiently explained and asked Taylor to contact his ISP or IT department but Taylor just repeated and escalated his threats:
I do not want this software!!!! This is the City of Tuttle, Oklahoma. Get rid of this software!!!!!
Second notice!I am computer literate! I have 22 years in computer systems engineering and operation. Now, can you tell me how to remove “your software” that you acknowledge you provided free of charge? I consider this “hacking”. I have no fear of the media, in fact I welcome this publicity.

Only after Hughes did some digging to discover the answers to the questions that Taylor refused to answer and spoonfed the information to him (in spite of the non-stop ludicrous threats) did Taylor stop making threats and get the problem solved.
